Our cylindrical vase comes from the celebrated Argenta series, designed by Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) for the renowned Swedish pottery factory Gustavsberg. Produced between the 1930s and 1970s, the Argenta line represents one of Kåge’s most significant artistic achievements and stands as a hallmark of the Swedish Grace style.
Crafted in stoneware, the vase is finished with the Argenta series’ signature green-teal glaze, enhanced by delicate silver overlay. The decoration features Art Nouvau-inspired petal leaf motifs, a classic design element within the collection.
The scalloped dish was not intended to pair with the vase, but we think it makes for an original and striking base, and have decided to pair them together. Sourced in Concord, Massachusetts.
