Founded in 1954 by American couple Ted and Martha Nierenberg, Dansk set out to bring Scandinavian modernism to American homes. Collaborating with Danish sculptor and designer Jens Quistgaard, the company produced an iconic range of kitchenware and tableware. This uncommon pitcher displays the signature rhythmic brushwork of Jens Quistgaard’s Arabesque pattern, a series of stylized geometric motifs inspired by traditional Japanese and Scandinavian folk art. Produced in Japan for Dansk during the 1960s and early 1970s, the Arabesque line combined Danish design principles with Japanese craftsmanship. Use it as lemonade pitcher come summer, a hot apple cider pitcher come winter, or as a vase year-round. Sourced in Concord, Massachusetts
