If this doesn't scream French country home, we don't know what does. Can't you picture this covered in grapes and cheese? Hello, summer!

The Louis Sicard earthenware company, located in Aubagne, Provence, boasts a rich history dating back to its founder, Louis Sicard (1871-1946). The workshop has been a beacon of Provençal earthenware craftsmanship for over 130 years!

This vintage Louis XV style scalloped platter is hand-painted in the Semis Jaune (yellow seed) pattern, with scattered berries, a classic service within the Sicard archive. Semis Jaune has been gracing the tables of the French since 1925.

The Semis Jaune earthenware stands as the most intricate among all Sicard earthenware creations. Each piece is meticulously decorated by hand using the specialized techniques pioneered by founder, Louis Sicard, in 1895.
The complexity of its creation is further highlighted by the requirement of three separate firings during its production.
