A beautiful piece of late 19th-century French folk art, this antique oval bentwood box features a lush hand-painted pastoral scene. The soft brushwork against the warm, natural wood grain creates a striking vignette. While crafted as a classic steam-bent pantry box lid (boîte en bois plié), its lightweight profile makes it an exceptional piece of wall art to hang directly on display.
