Shreve, Crump & Low is often referred to as America’s oldest jeweler, founded in Boston in 1796. Our unique tray dates back to 1964, is crafted of painted metal (toleware) and is richly decorated by hand. The central field features a gilded ground with a delicately painted bird perched on a flowering branch, a motif drawn from classical chinoiserie design.
The tray retains its original Shreve, Crump & Low oval label, an uncommon and desirable detail that enhances both authenticity and collectibility.
